I'm doing an install for a girl with Sarah Jessica Parker curly hair, you know, that natural, spiral hair that looks just fabulous. It's slightly frizzy but good-frizzy if you know what I mean. Her hair falls to her shoulders currently but being so curly it has rather a lot of volume.

She wants to go to about 18" and my only concern is how well the extensions will blend with her hair. As she has plenty of body I don't want the mushroom look going on.

So, I've concluded that most of the extensions will be added to the lower layers to prevent any more fullness. Instead, I think it's vital that the hair falls 'down' rather than 'out'. I'm also imagining that the weight of the extensions will pull the hair down to some degree giving a longer look.

Now, I'm looking at Bohyme FR and thinking this is by far the best match for her natural hair. It remains curly as well as straightening (if desired) which is exactly what she's after.

My questions to you are:

Is Bohyme FR the best option for curly hair?

Are there any methods that anyone can recommend for working with curly hair?

How do you avoid the mushroom look?

How do you match the thickness of the clients own hair without adding too many bonds to the full head, therefore, increasing the thickness of their own hair?

I know it's a bit to answer but I'm not very experienced with curly hair and could really do with some advice. I just need to know if there are any faux pas' of working with curls and if there are any methods that people tend to follow.

Many thanks for your input and time on this. x

if you go to my site and look at the tenth set of pics she has French Refined. With out seenig your client it's hard to tell you what to do. If you wory about adding to much I would leave a large enough space between sections. You can allways come back and add more. I have not ended up with any mushroom heads, but if they were that way to begin with then that wont change.

They look great. Theres a couple of installs on there that I absolutely adore (shoulder length extensions but very full).

How do you create that gorgeous big wave and what hair do you use?
