QuoteReplyTopic: Extension recommendations for asian hair? Posted: April 21 2006 at 8:59pm
Hi!
I currently have GL's extensions right now and I'm not happy with them
at all. I have had them for about six months now and go in at
least once a month to have them fixed since they keep falling
out. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other brands
of extensions (fusion-type) that is asian hair? My stylist had
first used GL's hair on me that was silky and straight but fell out
right away. She said it was a new kind of hair GL was
doing. Then after all of that fell out, I got some new hair that
was also GL's hair but just a different texture, the more wavy
kind. I'm not happy with that hair as I have found quite a few
gray hairs in there and it is very frizzy and dry.
Anyawy, she has recommended some extensions that are caled Bohemian --
anyone ever heard of this? Any input or advice or anything would
be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about buying this new
bohemian hair but I don't know anything about it or if it will even
stay in my hair.
Oh, one more thing of note, I read somewhere on the message boards that
the stylist is supposed to wash your hair before they put the
extensions in. Last time I had her put more extensions in, I told
her this and she washed my hair before she put anything in and those
have stayed in and have been in my hair for 2 months now. Didn't
know if that made a difference or not. :)
well, the hair you use seldom affects the method for installation. and not all methods work for everyone. it sounds like either: a) your hair and the GL method just don't do well togethor b) your extensionist isn't very experienced c) both
the hair i think she's talking about is Bohyme, a brand name, usually a very reliably good one, at that.
she didn't know to wash your hair? honey, i'd really go somewhere else. i know GL has a big brand-name and you paid a lot of money for it, but it's pretty unanimous on this and other boards that they fleece people and damage hair quite often.
find someone else, it'll be cheaper in the long run and you'll be happier. going in every month for 6 months is ridiculous!
