Thank you ladies for answering all my questions on ethnic hair, Here is how it came out. It took me about 9 hours to do, cut, blend, and my friend was very happy :)
i didnt remember to take a before picture until AFTER i was done with the whole back and other side :( but you get the idea. the longest hair was about an inch and a half, so i had a fun time blending.

nope, regular fusion. i put in about 500 strands though, and they were VERY VERY tiny, bc i didnt want a lot of weight on her hair since she normally relaxes it

well, the hair she bought herself, so i am not entirely sure. she went to a specialty hair shop and picked what was closest to her texture. i know the hair was permed, but thats about it. as for the fusion, i used keratin sticks to pretip the hair so that i dont use too much glue and have a bulky bond, and the heat gun, and just roll it with my fingers until the shape is nice and covers all the hair. im not a pro at this- just do it for fun. afterwards i cut the ends and razored it all around to make sure that it was as seemless as possible.

Hi - I am new! Love this board! have learned alot. Nici, you did a great job! ( Do you live in the NY area by chance?) The hair your friend client used is absolutely spot on what I am looking for. If you ever do her hair again, i would LOOVE to know where she purchased it. I have never found hair that matched mine well enough so I could do fusion and know the hair should match perfectly.
Again great job! And thanks ahead of time.

Thank you! I used to travel to NY every other month, but I havent gotten the chance this year. My client purchased this hair at a store down here called Lugo's, which has their main store in NY! I know she got in contact with Camile for her next install, and is ordering hair from her http://www.remyhairtoday.com/ . you can even send her a swatch of your hair and she can match it up for you. tell her your texture http://naturallycurly2.com/curl411/types.php and if she can send you a sample of a match. if its not what you were looking for, ask her if you can send her a sample of your hair. this woman is wonderful to work with
