QuoteReplyTopic: A Personal Discovery About Brushing Posted: April 22 2006 at 8:25pm
First off i want to say that this is my first post, but i have been viewing this site for about a month now. I have read alot of threads and haven't seen anything that talks about the intensity or the force of your brushing. For the past month i have been brushing my hair for at least an hour a day and for some reason i was seeing great results on the top of my head, left side, and top portion of the back of my head. So for half of that time i have been trying to even out the lacking areas by brushing more overall in those spots. But i've noticed that those three areas are still much better than the rest of my head, until two days ago i thought to try to copy the same force that i use on the top of my head with the rest of my head. I basically realized that when i was brushing the top of my head i wasn't really applying much force at all when brushing. And the other spots i was putting alot of force and pressure down. i guess i didn't realize how much harder i was pressing with the brush. Now that ive been brushing softly with my brush (doesn't matter how hard), i have noticed great improvement in the past two days, and the sections have almost evened out now. So try this and tell me what you think. Now the type of hair i have is somewhat straight, i dont know if this has anything to do with it though.

i've been doin this for almost a week now and it has definitely improved my waves much faster, everybody new like me needs to make sure that they are brushing lightly.
