I have never pre-treated before a relaxer, simply because I didn’t know any better and it seems my stylist didn’t either. I want to protect my hair really well next time around, so I am planning to do a heavy protein treatment a few days before….is Jherri Redding considered heavy duty? I have had a bottle for maybe two years and only have been using it every week for the past 5 weeks or so now. Its been fantastic to see how my breakage has literally been stopped in its tracks and my hair feels 200% better than it did a couple months ago..

I think it is only a light protein treatment.

I think it is a medium strength protein.  Does it contain hydrolyzed keratin?

i'd say- medium to strong. but i use it in my deep conditioner and i think that it is great. I have been a fan for a long time and this is my main protein.

these are the ingredients...Water, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Sodium Chloride, Apple Cider Vinegar.
