What is in it?  Will it alter my color or damage my hair?

How often should I get them?

overall glosses just make the hair feel softer and look shinier. as for damaging, no a gloss does not damage the hair. now, as far as altering color, thats up to you. you can either use a gloss in the hair color that you have now, and use it to replenish the faded color, or if your color is fine, you can get a clear gloss, and it will just make the hair shinier. they can be done any time you feel your hair needs a little "pick me up"

you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)

ok, so that's what i thought - it just makes my hair shinier.

when i used to get partial highlights i'd always do a gloss afterwards.

i just wanted something to freshen up my color (it's brunette and fading) and add shine but not damage.

could i do a gloss at home?

yeah, try going to sallys and picking up clairol radience color-gloss in the shade that matches your hair. you will also need to get the color infuser, which is what makes it all work. mix the two together as instructed, and apply to the hair. apply heat for ten minutes, check the color, and determine wether it matches, or if it needs to be left on longer. if it needs to be left on, check again every 2 minutes, as glosses tend to process very fast. then just condition and style as usual. say hello to great color, and healthy shine.
