Hi ladies!  I have a question about how much hair to add per strand.  I read that the amount of extension hair should equal the amount of hair it is attached to, but when I do that, my hair looks too thin (it's thin to begin with).  I want more volume, but I don't want my hair to fall out in the process.  I am using monofibre. What can I do?

well...the amount of extension hair to real hair 'ideally' should be about the same. But for anyone who is using extensions to add some volume also, you have to add more extension hair.  Just dont use so much that it causes stress on the natural hair.

thank you - I have been wearing pinchbraids for a few years and the extension strand is a good deal thicker than my own hair that it's attached too.  I don't feel pulling or pain or anything, but worried it will do damage in the long run.  It looks so stringy and thin if I use any less though  Do you think it' ok? My extensions give me so much confidence and I'm constantly worrying that they are going to make it worse by pulling my hair out :(

if youve been wearing them for awhile, and never experienced any pain or pulling or never had any pull out from the weight then you are probably fine.
