Synthetic VS. Real Hair

Hi I'm new and due to this forum I am completely addicted.  First I have to say thanks to everyone for all the outstanding information.  Second I have Cuticle Remy Fine Straight Slim Weft installed with protac.  Since I have platinum hair I was thinking of trying the synthetic, I have to color the Remy 613 and it gets dry afterwards.  Can someone give me opinions on using synthetic, I may have just gotten a bad batch of hair but I also love messing with my hair.  What are the drawbacks of synthetics, I have a couple clip in synthetics in blue and such and they feel great but I've never needed to shampoo them.  Any comments would be appreciated.

Yeah, I agree with metalgirl. It's basically perfect if you wear your hair straight everyday and have really shiny hair. Curling it IMO, is nearly impossible.

The synth always looks good to me, it's nice, but I hate how it feels when it's wet. It's really heavy, and takes forever to dry. Also, it feels weird, not like real hair. I used to have to flat iron it like crazy, then just put tons of biosilk just to make it close.

It's not bad, for the price, you can't beat it! But good HH is always better!

I agree that synth works best for those who wear their hair straight, like me.  I don't mind the way it feels, I've gotten used to it.  I prefer monofiber, i did not like thermofiber at ALL.  It frizzed, and unlike mono, I couldn't unfrizz it with the blow dryer. Also, it did take forever to dry.  Monofiber dries very quickly because it does not absorb water.  In fact, it does not absorb anything you put on it.  Therefore, it feels light when wet, not weighed down with water like human hair.  With human hair, it would get affected by humidity and conditioner and tap water and all that, just like your own hair.  Synth hair is always the same, which I love!
