Ok, so I promised pictures and here they are. This is Bohyme 22"
french refined (in the pic I went a little overboard with the hot
rollers, I'm sure it will loosen up) in the color 613/27 which I dyed
to be this color because the 613/27 was way too gold.
My hair is about 4 inches long everywhere, very layered. I
installed this using protacs and liquid gold. Can you believe how
long this hair is? I am a little over 5'10" and it is only that
short cuz I razored the ends a bunch......it was even longer.

Thank you girls :) The french refined looks a little like an
6month old spiral perm after it is washed. The curl is OK and
looks nice, but I definitely liked the bodywave curl the indian hair
had better. I won't complain though, since I usually throw it in
hot rollers anyway. This hair is awesome for the price and for blonde
hair.
I don't like the silky straight since the texture seems odd
compared to my naturally curly hair (even though I flat iron my natural
curl I just don't get the same amount of body with the silky
straight). I think hair that has curl to it holds the roller
curls better anyway.
This hair is still very nice, even after I toned it.
Thanks again, I hate having my picture taken which explains the doofy look on my face lol.

but now, my critique....was the hair before you colored it just blatantly bronze? because i think the more golden hair tones/strawberry blonde would look perfect against your skin tone....kinda the golden tone i see on your hair from the front view......but still most beautiful

Lynnie, my hair is very curly but fine and very silky. It is damn
near impossible to match my curl, the closest I have come was the
extensions plus hair which was virgin indian body wave (it dried much
curlier than it sounds). That was back when I was a brunette, and
I've only tried the D-lux and Bohyme in the blonde colors.
I really like the bohyme french refined and it does have a nice
curl to it, but it is definitely a perm curl and would never match any
natural curly head that I have ever seen. I will say that even
after washing the curl remains exactly the same as when it arrives in
the package. The silky straight was a big no-no for me though,
even with curling it the textures were way different.
In this picture I had washed my hair at least 3 times and even dyed the extension hair.....so far it is really nice.
As far as tips for curly hair, I found that a very layered cut in your
natural hair works well and hot rollers are life savers. If I
blow dry my hair and then stick it is hot rollers it blends soooooo
nice and I don't have the "big big" hair issues that I had with hot
rollers and just my natural hair (I guess since the hair is weighted).
I use a Wigo (the brand name) straightening iron that is ceramic with
red plates. I will say that I have never, ever found a
straightening iron that comes close to straightening my hair and
keeping it that way all day. It is a bit expensive (about 100
bucks at Ulta) but worth every penny. I have bought about
everyone on the market, and my hair is impossible to straighten.
It even leaves it with lots of body.

Oops, I forgot to add my most important blending tip. I can only
speak for curly hair, so I'm unsure of other hair types. I do not
do any razoring to blend before I wash my hair. My hair blends
and shapes sooooo much differently after I wash it all together that it
really messes up the blend if I blend it before I wash it. I
can't see the true end of my hair after pulling around and clipping it
etc......which messes up the curl that I will have after washing not to
mention it is sticking out all around.
When I put extensions in I usually end up washing it the next day as bad as I hate to.

I agree with that completely longhairaddict. I use straight or bodywave, and I too wait until after the first wash to do any cutting. Mainly because the extension hair just out of the package is so compacted, after its washed and 'fluffed' up I can tell better where I need to put my layers.
I bought a toner for the test strands, but ended up using the regular
haircolor for the rest of it......which is what you can see. I
used Loreal 8.2 medium irridescent blonde (from Sally's) with a 20 vol
developer and I left it on 5 minutes.
The toner I bought was Wella, in about the same color but it actually
felt more damaged than the Loreal. I would say that the Loreal
color is probably the best color of blonde I have found so far, and
despite the name it is a very light pastel blonde.
My hair is still great, no signs of a shorter life yet :)
