hey,
My hair is currently a layered shoulder-length do (I have been growing it out since eight months, it was between ear and chin-length). I would like to grow it to hip length but I`m a very impatient girl and I would really like a hairbuddy to give me support during the growing process.
ME! Pick me! Did you ever go to the link I sent you(I think it was you)? The community there is great! You could have many hair buddies. I`m glad you decided to grow it out
I just read the description of your hair, wasn`t it deyed blond a few weeks ago? it sounds a lot like my hair: fine but a lot of it, light to medium brown, but mine is slightly wavy and I don`t have bangs.
Yes it was blond, but I had a corrective color. I couldn`t keep dyeing it blond, so I decided to go back to my "natural" color so as I get new growth it will blend in. I will email you again.
I also deyed my hair blond in the past but the roots were always so ugly so I stopped doing it. The only thing I do now once in a while is using a semi-permanent reddish or brownish glow on my hair, that`s nice too annd it`s washed out by the time any roots are showing
Hi girls - I would like to find some hair buddies if you are still taking them! I am growing mine out and have been for the past 9 months . It is to my shoulders and I started when it was at my chin. It is interesting that I would come across this post today. Just this morning I was feeling that my hair was taking forever to get longer! Amanda, you mention that there are other sites that offer inspiration and support. I am a member of WWLH and that is a great place too.
OK, before you all go getting freaked out, yes I am a guy, and no I am not growing my hair long.
That said, I am very supportive towards girls/ladies who are growing their hair long, as I find that long hair is the most perfect vision of beauty.
I`ve madea coupl eof really wonderful friends online who I have supported with growing their hair.
If any of you are interested in some male support in your hair growing adventure, please feel free to contact me, I will be only too glad to offer all that I can to help you get the long flowing manes you desire.
You can be my hair buddy too. I'm sure Caro would like another also. What is WWLH? I'm not familiar with it.
Amanda I think she means one of the Yahoo Groups I Co-Moderate, "Women With Long Hair" The link is in my signature. But I think you are already a member there. If not then maybe there is another WWLH somewhere.

Take care and happy growing!

Hi If you meant WWLH as "Women With Long Hair" group on Yahoo then I`m glad you enjoy it. I`m one of the Co-Moderators.
If not then I`m still glad you enjoy whatever the other WWLH is :)
Yes PB - The one and only WOmen with Long Hair webpage. I was more active when my hair was long...then i stayed back awhile when I got my hair cut last year. Now I have come back with a vengeance! LOL . I am a long haired person inside - and like the gentleman who posted above me, I think a woman who allows her hair to grow and take on a life of it`s own is the epitome of natural, womanly beauty. Thanks Amanda and everyone who posted to this thread for the warm welcome!Jacqui
Yeah it hasn`t been quite as active. I`ll take some of the blame because I spend a lot of my time over at
LongHairCommunity.com
You might have seen me post that recently at WWLH. But compared to what there was 2 years ago I`d say WWLH has done pretty well. Its hard to compete nowadays so I don`t try anymore. Besides I don`t want to pull people away from these other great sites. I want them to do whatever it takes to reach their goals whether its something I helped with or not.
Oh and I did missread you, you said "I was" not "It" so in that case don`t worry too much, we all go in spurts. We know you are active even if you aren`t posting it. ;)
