Kiera,
A friendly suggestion - do NOT get a perm - it would destroy your hair.
My suggestion... practice in advance... dampen your hair, work a setting gel into it, then roll tiny sections of your hair on perm curlers. Blow-dry on low-heat, leave the curlers in even after it seems to be dry. Sleep on it, even. Then carefully unwind the hair from the curlers, and finger fluff only (no comb or brush - that would only produce frizz).
Let us know how this works for you. Good luck and have fun at the prom!

ok, i have about belly button length, thick and as straight as it gets hair. I have prom coming up very soon and i need tip's on how to get at least, a good three hour lock like curl. My hair has never been dyed, permed or chemically messed with at all, so i have nothing to work with and im border line ready to get a perm. So if anyone has any advice as to what kind of perm or curl i should do, that would be wonderful!
