I thought so, but I have never heard of it. (Clear Essence)
I just started using Creme of Nature shampoo. I really like it. My hair usually does well with products in the first week and then after that I know how my hair really reacts to it (if that makes sense). I was using Revlon before but it was drying my hair out. Anyway... BSS stands for Beauty Supply Store. I am a Newbie here myself, but I am glad that I could help with what little I do know.

Yea clear essence is for your face. Its one of those lines that claim to specialize in skin of color. If you've heard of it, black opal is another.
Anyway, I'm looking for a new shampoo. Have you heard of creme of nature? Is it good? If not, what do you use lol
Thanx chanelle. You along with tffy2004 have been good mentors(lol) to me so far. I got the Cantu from walgreens; haven't used it yet, but it smells really good. Can't wait!
I know what you mean. It has been a blessing for me!! My family and friends think I am crazy but my hair looks better now then it has in a long long long (had to run that back) time. For me my goal wasn't so much to have long hair, as it was to have shiny healthy looker hair NOW!!! And with the help of these ladies, that's what I got. So needless to say I am hooked. I wish that I could get some of the black ladies that I know to look at this board, but I don't see it happening.
I am not sure what Clear Essence is. Is that for your face? I use Aveeno products. My favorite is the Clear Complexion. It comes in a green container. 28 Pre-Foamed pads. They are awesome!! They have another called Positively Radiant which I like also, but Clear Complexion pads have gotten rid of some nasty bumps before they could become acne. Anyway, everyone is different but it may help you. As far as dark spots, I would try Ambi products. I've never tried it before but I hear that it is a really good product. I've seen the product in BSS.

No prob not a long post at all. Everyone is so hair-educated on this board. I'll look at the post and try it on sunday. I wonder what would happen if most women of color lokked at the board....our hair would be a lot better off.
Btw have you tried any products from clear essence? I have all these dark spots on my face from acne. I hate being a teen! Once I get stressed over school and lose sleep, its gets worse. Any thoughts?
I use enough to cover all my hair. You'll enjoy it, it feels wonderful. Nice and creamy. I've been looking for a leave in conditioner like this one for a while. But again this is when I was blowdrying my hair. I have yet to use it on my roller set. I may try over the long weekend. As far as learning how to rollerset, check out the post I made, Rollersetting Problems Solved. This hairdiva has some great information in there. It has really helped me out. When I first read it I felt like she had been watching me struggle with my rollersets, wondering what the hell I am doing wrong. Anyway, sorry for the long post... I hope that helps.

Cool...not bad at all. I will try it out. I'm trying to learn how to roller set....its hard. The person at my salon does it, but I'm tired of going every 2 weeks. I wanna be useful too. Question: How much do you use on your hair?
It is creamy leave in. Very thick and fluffy... if that makes sense. It is in a clear container (looks white due to the product) with an orange top. I only use it when I am going to blow dry my hair (which has been a while), but you can use it how ever you want.
