Blond dye turned my hair orange!

Blonde dyes usually do have lightening ability via peroxide.  To go bleach blonde you will either have to use a bleach kit, then tone it (because it will come out yellow after the bleach alone, so you will need a violet toner to put over it afterwards), or depending on if your hair is light enough now, you may be able to get there with a high lift dye.  You would need a dye with a blue base to counter the orange you have now (without that, it will go more orange next time you do it).
