Exactly, a medium is kool. U gotta be very patient with the whole process of gettin waves. It took me ages 2 get where i am today with my waves.

brush the whole of ur head wit the softy. In due time it will connect messy waves which aint straight and it does help connect the sides to the back and other areas which need 2 be connected 2 form that circular motion

So the connections do you mean the part right between the top and sides? And do you just brush those parts with the softy?

..no explanation needed, ill say this though if people on this site say keep brushin then it must help ya dig. So the softie ofcourse helps with connecting your waves. In about every post on this site someone is saying use a softie for connections so trust me fam there's a reason why everyone is saying it.

"FOR BETTER CONNECTIONS BRUSH SLOWER WITH LESS PRESSURE"
