damn dats kinda smart i think i might do dat but i jus got a cut today so im gonna have to wait a while. I had a mini fro b4 and  i combed my hair backwards for about a week...and as you can see in the new pic in my signature i still have my waves...i only did it cuz i wanted to start ova and maybe make my waves look betta

I too was using the compression method b4 I knew of it lol that's how I was taught to get waves by my dad in like '99
