Have you personally tried this stuff??  Mt hair is really dry and overprocessed....looking for ANYTHING to help it GROW back to the 32" it USED to be!

Can you find this stuff at Sally or any stores, or just online?

yeah ive used it, i have an indian friend with hair to her butt that recommended it that is why i posted it, she uses it all the time her hair i mean grew like a weed while i was stuck at my shoulder she was growing hair to her butt and i swore it took like maybe a year not kidding.  She said in india stuff like this is what keeps indian womens hair so long and shiny. And at stores dunno you can try herbal stores but mostly likely an indian store would carry it because its by a indian company called himilaya i just got mine online, hair is looking better then ever and i had dry hair and curly that dry look is  gone now with the use of organic shampoos conditioners and this oil.

How often are you using it?

I shampoo everyday using Pantene and Tre semme.  Wonder if that's too much...could be drying it out too?  As of yesterday I quit using heat, except on my bangs.  Hairs looks like poo, but I just put it up.  If it will help in the long run...I'm willing to try it!

well it depends on your hair type if your hair is dry like you said i think you should use it more often until it starts to smooth out and trust me it will get silky and smooth with this youll believe me after you use it, then once it starts to smooth out you can lessen up on it maybe twice a week that is how often i use it now.  my hair was to my ears and now to my shoulders in a little of a few months so it is working. Ease up on the shampoo try to find a shampoo with little sulfate in it like an organic brand i use giovanni ( go to a herbal store look for something) a lot of sulfatesin store bought and salon shampoos  cause dry hair and as far as conditioner you need to condition a lot if your hair is dry buy a leave in conditioner and again look for the herbal forms of conditioners if you can. I just think going organic and natural is best for hair especially dry. Stop using heat good idea and maybe get a trim to start you off on the right track if your ends look bad. :) You should be okay! good luck.

here is about one of the ingredients in the oil and you can see why its so good:

Indian gooseberry is an accepted hair tonic in traditional recipes for enriching hair growth and pigmentation. This darkish oil is excellent in preventing graying and contains high amounts of vitamin C more than an orange so your basically building immunity for your hair.

Yes, washing your hair daily is too often.  Try to gradually wash your hair less often, so that your scalp can adjust to putting out less oil (and allow the natural oil a chance to protect your hair).  Added oils and deep conditioning treatments can help, too.

The referenced product advises applying just before washing.  It makes more sense to me to sparingly apply a tiny bit of oil just as the hair is drying, so that it can seal in the moisture and protect it until the next wash.
