QuoteReplyTopic: Need your opinion, short textured look Posted: April 11 2006 at 11:08pm
Hi guys, would the style in the pic below in your opinion be an easy and quick thing to acheive in the morning? I'm looking for a short casual textured look for a round face, brown hair, that I can get done right out the shower using at most just one product. At moment use the WELLA LIQUID HAIR, and use GARNIER's FRUCTIS 2 in 1 shampoo. Plus a thickening shampoo as my hair is getting kind of thin. Hair stylists never seem to give me the cut I need, so still looking. Getting another haircut this week with yet another hair stylist. Seems problem is they either go to short or end up leaving me too long on the sides, plus I can never get the hairstyle I want each day, about once a week it falls more or less the way I like, other days just doesn't want to. Real pain in the morning as I need to get it done quickly then off to work.
What cut does this model have above? Is this layered or using those weird scissors with the teeth, whatever they are called. Also what product you guys recommend I should use to style it in morning. Finally I'm looking for a DRY LOOK. No wet gelled look with my scalp showing underneath. Tips and techniques for applying the product too deeply appreciated, as I'm clueless. Thanks.

if you want a dry look, then try using wax, fiber wax or fibergel on damp hair.
take a coin size amount of wax, rub it together with your hands, then apply from back to front. then with a pea sized amount tease any hair you want back it its place, or you can emphazied any curls or you can add more texture to hair either by spiking it or just let fall naturally in the right place
Is the style cut with THINNING SHEARS as shown below. What scissors are used for the texture?
Which product brand would you recommend. Is there a review here somewhere of each - WAX, FIBER WAX, or FIBRE GEL. Which is the best and easiest to wash out?

yes that is the kind of scissors that some stylist use to layer hair or to thin it.
fibre gel is the easiest to wash out wax is difficult to wash out, it almost water proof your hair. so far i have been using both brylcream wax series
the stick kind that looks like a deodarant is super long lasting wax while there is a fibre gel kind with natural hold. i used both and i like both. it depend on your mood. all day all night long (waxstick) just for daytime (fibre gel)
