QuoteReplyTopic: QUESTION ABOUT BREAKAGE Posted: March 21 2003 at 3:24pm
I NOTICE THAT I HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF BREAKAGE IN MY HAIR. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE Of MY HAIR. DOES EVERYONE WITH LONG HAIR HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF BREAKAGE? DOS ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS TO STOP BREAKAGE? I'VE STARTED USING REDKENS ANTI SNAP LEAVE IN.
How is the anti-snap working out for you? I was thinking of buying some. Elissa
the anti-snap smells so good. to be honest though i'm not sure if i like the anti-snap as much as i thought. i looked for it forever. it does good at combing out the tangles. before i was using herbal essences intense leave in conditioner. call me crazy but i think i like it better. i know a lot of people on here don't like herbal essenses but i like the leave in. it made my hair more shiny and less frizz. overall smoother. i might just need to use to the anti-snap a little longer. sometimes i have to get use to a new product. if not i could use it as a perfume
I have this problem too and I've heard that it's a good idea to buy a pair of hair scissors and every once in a while just trim the split ends off. It sounds like it would take a really long time but I bet it could really help. You probably wouldn't need to get trims as often too.

What you don't see is what Redken Anti-Snap is doing under the surface. It contains protien to help strengthen your hair but it also has a number of sucroses that strengthen up the "gummy" substance that keeps the cuticles from raising too much. Translation= less split ends. It is not a moisturizer. For moisture try Redken Climatress Moist Ends. Sometimes I use them both on my hair.

thank you. you always give good advice can you use them both at the same time? or alternate? i just looked on redkens web. how about the curl spin control leave-in with the anti-snap?
Yes you can, Redken makes their products so that you can use 2-3-or even 4 or 5 at a time. Everyday, I use anti-snap, moist ends, outshine, in the loop, and alittle contour. Then, after I dry I use a little glass or water wax depending on if it is raining or not. I have naturally curly hair.
Thank you for the compliments

your welcome have you tried redkens curl spin control leave-in? i just bought some today i also have naturally wavy/curly hair too.
I'm going to buy Redken's Anti-Snap. I've been wanting to try it. My hair is pretty healthy but sometimes the very ends of some strands look wavy. I think that is from breakage. When I see those, I snip the ends off. Sure, it takes time and they get annoying, but it's better than having ripped hairs all over my head.
I see that you all talk about the Redken products. I would be interested in trying them, but I have an APO address, and getting to a salon that has them might be kind of hard for me. (plus the german economy is expensive) I remember somewhere in here there was a site posted for buying hair products, can any of you point me in that direction? Thanks

Just be aware...If you buy Redken or any other Pro. Product, from anywhere other than an Autherized Salon, the manufacturer will not stand behind it. PS. I Love Redken Products!
Does it really matter though, if they do not stand behind it? If it is the same product, I shouldn't have to worry about anything, correct? I saw that on a site, and I was a bit confused. Maybe you can clarify that for me. Thanks in advance.
And to who posted the links, Thank you, I really apprecaite it.
Redken and most other Salon product lines offer a 100% money back guarantee when their product is purchased from an authorized Salon or salon professional.
And in most cases it is not a problem buying off the Internet or even diverted product from a drug store shelf...provided that you buy the correct product for your hairs needs or that you aren't buying out dated product. And even provided that you are actually receiving actual Redken product.....And this is rare, but truck loads of counterfeit TIGI product were just confiscated in my state...the packaging was indistinguishable from the real thing, but the actual product was junk.
The product is not inexpensive and it is easy to get the wrong product for your hair type...you should feel that you can return it, if in any way you are not happy with it.
Just a little info for you all...Happy Hair Daysssss
I buy my Redken products from a very nice, very reliable "retired" licensed stylist who sells these products to assist with her retirement. Her prices are very reasonable, and she doesn't even mark up her shipping rate. Private message me for her email address, which I will provide to sincere buyers with a posting history only.

Thank you for the response, that is nice to know about the company's policy if bought from a salon. I have found a salon here in Germany, but the prices are outragious. I wonder if I could find a salon over the internet who sold the products, if they would have the guarantee. Thanks Again, Laine
