If a service is $100...............would a $20 tip be enough?  I tend to always tip high............but my session with my hairdresser is about 2-3hrs long.  Is this a good tip?  Or should i tip her more?

I would think that is a good tip-it's 20%. I'm not a hairdresser but I do tip them. I give my hairdresser $20 for $80 service.

That sounds good to me. It's always hard to tell. If you really like the person you want to give more but then every time you go you have to give that amount at least. does that make sense?

Of course...should go without saying...tipping is for a job well done.  If you are not happy with your service give the stylist a chance to make it right, but a tip is at your option, depending on how well you are pleased with the service and skills of the stylist...not for how hard they tried or how long it takes to do the service.

Unless you're being given a discount, 20% is always a good tip.  If you are being given a discount, tip 20% on what the full bill would have been, plus a little more.  Simple! :)
