Anything that lifts your colour will mean that your hair is permanently
lightened unless you dye over it. It's hard if you've got dark
brown hair to avoid bleach or highlights really.
I'm not familiar with those products because I'm from the UK but I
think adding gold tones on dark brown hair may just give you brassy
results..
ok i hear what your saying. what about loreal natural match if i tried 4w its suppose to add some gold tones to your hair. Or what do you think about loreal hi-light styliste? Its just that if i get tiered of my haircolor or something i want to be able to take it out......
Yeah...high lift colours don't have a particularly successful outcome from what I've heard. You could give it a go but ultra lift will have more peroxide in, so it will slightly bleach your hair, meaning no reversal from Colorfix.
i hear what your saying about the make my hair lighter but the garnier 100% color has a product that is called ultra lift browns that make your hair 3 shades lighter then what it already is and its made for dark brown and black hair. check it out let me know.....its golden brown
Once you color your hair the only way it will be exactly like your natural color is when all the color grows out. You can remove the oxidative tint (sometimes), but the ammonia and peroxide in the original tint will have PERMANENTLY changed your color (disrupted your natural melanin). Colored hair will never look like uncolored hair, no matter how "natural" the shade may be.

No.1 rule of haircolouring is that colour cannot lighten colour I'm afraid. If you put a medium brown on your dark brown hair it either won't do anything or make it go brassy/darker...it's a lottery and I wouldn't recommend it. The only thing that will lift your colour is bleach...or a professional high-lift colour with 30volume developer (drugstore brands i.e 100% Color only have 20vol) may do something. I'd suggest you go and talk to your hairdresser about the best way to lift your hair..., maybe go for highlights or something instead.
Colorfix and Colorzap only remove oxidative dye (most permanent dyes) so it doesn't effect your natural hair colour. Unless you have naturally blonde hair but are trying to remove red/brown, in which case it'll still be a bit brassy.
I have a couple of questions. I have my natural dark brown hair and i was thinking about using the garnier 100% color. I really want to do it but i am wary of changing my color lol. I keep hearing about these products that remove the permanet hair color. I heard of one 'n only Colorfix & L'Oreal ColorZap Haircolor Remover. I was thinking of going from dark brown to medium golden brown or light brown or something like that. So my question is if i was to dye my hair do you think one of those haircolor remover products will take the dyed color out of my hair and take me back to my natural color? please give me some advice......... thanks 4 your help
