My new job i have is very physical and i am constantlty outside in the sun sweatin. I be brushin like a madman the night before and sleep with a stockin cap on and my waves look good up until an hour of work. My ish starts to stick up and by the end of the day, I can barely see my waves and i have more of a mini fro goin on. I be brushin durin my breaks and lunches but even still, by the end of the day, my waves are jacked up.

What should i do? i haven't been usin pomades because i don't like to be sleepin and rollin around in all dat grease because it be given me acne.

Is anyone else havin this problem?

I'm either gonna have to have jacked up waves while i work or quit my job.

I dont have that problem fam, but all I can say is what everyone will probably say which is keep brushin. Depending on your hairtype use a medium-brush followed by a softie. You should also try the compression method, or before you leave for work in the mornings dont brush your hair after you take off your stocking cap. If you must brush use a softie.

ya i know what u mean about the work environment ur in. Im a safety proffesional at a chemical plant here in TX and i have to be out in the heat alot and have to wear a hard hat. We cant wear durags or anything because its against our dress code so i know jus how it is. All i can say is jus brush when u get off and try and take care of them waves. Im off on weekends so i go extra hard on the brushin then.

Thanks for all the feedback yall. I am not sure if they'd allow me to wear anything on my head during work because we gotta follow dress code, but i'm definetely gonna wear a stockin cap during my breaks to keep my ish down.

Ps, what works better for yall? stockin cap? or du-rag? because sometimes i be wakin up with my stockin cap half-way of my head and my hair kinda be jacked up. Does a du-rag have a better hold?

Try using a du-rag and put pomade and lets jam to give it hold throughout the day, but thats just what happens when u sweat because its moisture ur hair frizzes up but when u get a low cut that wont happen, because u have less hair to fizz up so just wait till u get a cut and see what happens.
