QuoteReplyTopic: How often for a manicure? Posted: July 27 2006 at 8:28pm
I rarely get manicures at salon (though sometimes because it's so wonderful), but I usually just do it at home. By manicure, I mean gently filing the top of the nail to smooth the ridges out and then I buff the nails to a shine.
I know this shouldn't be done all the time because the nail will become too thin. But, generally, how often can this be done?

Buffing shouldnt be done more than every 3 or 4 weeks or you will thin out your nails too much. You can do the last step - the shiny step weekly, but dont smooth the ridges more than once a month
