hi everyone i have stumbled on your site while researching and i love it!!! i have a quick question if you have the time? I have heard alot about the method of extensions where you just clip the extension on to your own hair with out glue or anything like that. can anyone tell me about this method and your thoughts on it. I'm just starting to do extensions and would like any advice you can share. thanks in advance

Hi J-Jo. Welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place and Im sure you will find loads of great info.
The method you are thinking of is clip ins. Clip ins are great for occassional wear or short term wear. They are easy to put in and take out and can give you a dramatic change of style. Although if you are looking for something more permanent then clip ins may not be a good option. If you plan on wearing them on a daily basis then you may also wish to look into other methods.
IMO the easiest method for a newbie is pro-tac tape. Its very very easy to do. Its my method of choice these days! Here are a couple of demos I did on the pro-tac install:
hi do a search on the board for clip ins you will find lods of info.
clip ins are agood idea if like me you find wearing extensions quite heavy cos u can take them out at the end of the day and sleep comfy. and yuo are also worried about the damage perm methodscan cause from the glue etc
once you get the hang of them they take about 2 minits to put in and can look just as natural as other weft methods. they give good coverage and you can make them easily.
Every day I wear two rows of clip-ins that I made. I like it for the
same reason Kirstyx says, I can take them out at night. I have
tried liquid gold with wefts and I thought they felt more comfortable
than clip-ins but since it's summer I need to be able to take them off
quickly and I do like not having to sleep with them on.
If you're not into clip-ins then I say go with protac.
