You probably read the comment about it being bad from me. I went through a period where I wanted to try something new and decided I wanted to maybe change my hair color. So I started doing all my reasearch and looking for reviews to see what would be the better choice. That's when I found out about Feria having metals in it, and how bad that is for your hair. I even stumped on an article about hair relaxing and it specifically mentioned Feria as a color not to use if your hair was relaxed, because of the metals in it, and the damage it would cause to your hair.

My little sister colors her hair. She started using Feria and at the beginning there was no problem. But eventually her hair got really dry, and now she has breakage everywhere.
I now also hear that they re-formulated it, and that is even worst than before. You should visit makeupalley.com and check out the reviews on it. The ladies there seem to be pretty upset about.

I have seen other posts that have stated that Feria brand hair color has metallic salts?? in it.  I didn't have any trouble with the brand until I tried to switch to a different brand.  Then my hair got really messed up and I had a heck of a time fixing the color again.

Just a comment about the original post...
Ive used Feria before and liked the colour for about a week, but the shine fades quickly and each time ive used it, it left my hair dull by week 2.  I dont like to redye my hair too often, and having the colour fade (especially their red.. i know red fades fast anyway but in my experience theirs seems to fade extra fast) makes me want to dye it again soon after.

Nah, not if you don't leave it on the recommended time. You just kind of have to play with the processing time......jmho.

well, i did take back the feria today. some girl who's aunt works at a salon.. and knows a lot about color .. (well the girl said she dyes he hair all the time) and i asked the girl a couple questions..

she said maybe i should try Revlon in "very light beige blonde", so i got some of that. i was going to try "born blonde" but it looked waayyy to light ..and it's just not what i'm looking for. i don't want to lighten it a ton.. that's why i dont want to use a bleach like born blonde.. because my hair is light now.. i know once i put a product like that on it, it's going to be white looking. i will look horrible.

That shade isn't a bleach/lightener. Color won't lighten color. You need a shade from the 'bleach' line in order to lighten your hair. When you get it, though.....PLEASE do a STRAND TEST!

I've used it before and didn't think it was bad. I think the reference was to some of the darker colors and how hard they are to get out.

Did you get the professional one or the 'over the counter' one?

hi.

just one quick question. i bought some L'Oreal Feria in very light natural blonde to lighten my color ..but i heard someone on here say it's a bad brand to use. that's the first time i've ever heard anyone say anything bad about that brand but now i'm kind of worried.

..is it really a bad brand?
