We also sell hair on ebay- and I have noticed that sampook AKA THE HAIR EXTENSION BOUTIQUE advertizes virgin Russian hair. Just by looking at it I could tell it was probably not Russian and Most defintiely not virigin- becuase she sells so many colors (uniform colors- dyed looking not natural looking) of the hair- and the texture appeared to be even and processed (too uniform as well) from the photo. But I was not 100% positive--- so I did not try to call her on it or anything. I did not want to accuse someone of something if I had no definite proof. I also did not want her or eBay to assume that I was just trying to fry her- being that I am a competitor selling the same-ish sort of products as she.
From your decription of the hair you received- there is no doubt in my mind you DID NOT get Russian Virgin hair.
I am so so sad to hear this has happened to you. It is such a shame. It is so disheartening to know that there are people out there (and too many of them) who are so willing to take advantage of others. 1/2 the reason why I sell on ebay is becuase I like to make people happy with the hair. Sure, I want to make some $- but you can totally totally do that without being a skeez.
I guess there is a micro-slim possibility that her supplier is claiming to sell her virgin and Russian hair and is not. But, c'mon, I would think that she would have to be able to TELL Russian virgin hair from the hair you described. Especially when you deal with so much hair. I don't buy her explaination.
*GO TO PAYPAL* You can file a "item not as represented" complaint. You can also be sure to leave appropriate feedback on ebay- and even contact them about the situation. I really hope you can get some of your $ back.
Again- what a shame. I am vicariously frustrated for you.
Too many people take advantage of other's good, trusting nature .
But I know karma kicks you in the backside when being untruthful .
So those liars and cheaters better watch out
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.
How's it going chiki babe?!! Yes I did pay by paypal and thanks for the advice. I think I will try and get the money back since I have not received true Russian hair. In fact I am going over to paypal now! I will let you know how it goes.

Hey goddess, yes things have been mentioned about this seller on here a few times :s the hair is nowhere near as nice as it looks unfortunately.
Did you pay by paypal? because you can file a claim through them and they pretty much act in favour of the buyer (all they have to do is take the money out of her account and put it into yours). I wouldnt let her get away with it, thats alot of $$ on hair that is pretty sh*t quality.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience, i suppose a good thing to come of this is that we all know not to buy from her. Im hoping you paid by paypal and can at least get some of your money back-i think you have 45 days to file a claim from the date of purchase but dont quote me on that.
I thought I would give every hair lover on the board my latest experience buying hair from the ebay seller Sampook. Well lets say I am - FURIOUS! She advertises 4 oz of Russian hair machine wefts in 16 or 20 inches length. She also makes the outrageous claim it is 'virgin Russian remy cuticle unprocessed'! (Unprocessed my a---e!!)
She charges US $249 for it. It worked out well over $300 Australian dollars with the UPS postage. Even so, I thought it seemed rather inexpensive for Russian hair. But since I have always wanted to get my hands on true Russian hair, I thought .... 'what the heck. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt!'
Anyway, I get the hair fairly quickly but am quite shocked at how similar it is, well practically IDENTICAL to Indian hair! The density and wave, the thick diameter of each individual strand, the mild coarse feeling and frizziness ect; (Some on this board call it 'poufness'!) It also has this strange sulfur smell!!! Would that be a perming solution?? Can she rightfully call this 'virgin UNPROCESSED'??? How deceptive is that?!Can someone explain why it would have a sulfur smell that does not go away?? I have washed it at least ten times and the smell remains! I dont even get that smell with the remy Indian I buy.
Well I send her off an email. I do not be nasty in anyway or accuse her of fraud but I do imply that the company she buys her hair from might be supplying her BOGUS HAIR. I explain to her what I was expecting in Russian hair and how it supposed to match the finer caucasian hair ect;
I tell her all about how I even compared and inspected the hair closely (outside in the sunlight) to some Indian hair I had and it was identical in every way. (I usually buy RK hair but I didn't give her that little detail!)
Her responce is that basically she wears this hair herself and 'loves it'. That it definitely IS Russian hair and she doesnt know what I was expecting. (WTF?!?) She then goes on to explain that there are all different grades of Russian hair and adds that I received the premium grade. It is the same company that she has dealt with for the last 10 years. I find it a bit 'suss' that she says she will get on to the supplier and see if it really is Russian hair! Why would she say that when she mentioned before it 'definately IS Russian hair and she wears it herself and loves it....??' I think she is a bit shifty!
Now the hair is getting progressively worse and worse. The sulfur smell does not go away and the hair even 'crackles' when I run my hands through it. I have tried every kind of product from silicon to oils and basically this crap hair is inferior to even RK hair. At least with RK you get value for your money and that it is ok hair.
All those dollars down the drain! GRRRR!!! If you ever come across her ebay store - you have been warned by me. It will be back to RK for me or I will try the Wagnum.
As for Sampook I wonder when karma will come back on her for ripping off and deceiving customers with so-called 'Russian remy exquisite - blah blah blah .... '
