All these shampoo's you can get  for certain color'd hair, like bedheads dumb blonde and john fredia's blonde shampoo and con ect do they do anything to your color at all? brighten it up, bring out the color more ect?

And would I have to or can I use one for blonde hair since im a sort of blonde..
I was a browny blonde but now I have a full head of blonde highlights...I wouldnt know what Id say my color was, possible a honey blonde

Ok stop right there. If you have highlights do not use color infusing shampoo. It will change the color of your highlights.

The best color infusing shampoo or brightening or whatever you want to call it, according to stylists and many people are the ones made by Redken(I think the EQ line). I have personally never tried them, but have read great reviews about them.
They do brighten the color and keep it looking fresh, and some shades such as the reds do seem to bring out the color more.

However, like I said before, I've heard too many stories involving highlights and color enhancing shampoo or conditioner. But that being said, the stories were about people with highlights who used a darker shade on the shampoo, and ended up with different color highlights, that they hated.

If you still want to go ahead and try it, I suggest you get the shade that most closely matches your highlights (or go lighter if you have to, since a lighter shade won't cause a color change) and test it on a small section of hair on the bottom part of your head. That way if it doesn't come out right, it will just be covered by the rest of your hair.

Anyway good luck great hair, and let us know if you try it and how it comes out.

John Freida color shampoos are great. I use the Brunette line and it makes my hair look shiner and lighter, like not so dark because it used to look almost black. I know someone said not to use them on color treated hair but they do not contain any dye and wouldn't change your highlights, they say they are safe for natural or color treated, or highlighted hair.
