thanks for your response, gee will have a long wait, my hair is pretty long! sigh!
My hair is generally thick and curly, now its frizzy, yellow, limp and I had an iron deficiency and I lost a lot of hair.

Different people have different hair types, if yours is fine (difficult to see the strands of hair singly, even over a contrasting background) your hair will be more delicate than thicker stranded peoples.  If it is breaking off, yes, I definitely would not color it again, and wait until it grows out before doing anything else.  If you did it once, then just did the roots after that, you would be better off, but that is for after it grows out.

I started to get grey hairs so I used a permanent ash blonde, being a dummy I redid my whole head 3 times until it started breaking off and all my curls dropped out.

After realising my error I tried to use a semi-perm to cover up the greys but they just made my hair worse, limp and frizzy.

Do I have to wait until my whole hair grows out and then dye it once and only touch up the roots or will that eventually wreck my hair again.

My hair is naturally wavy, long and on the dry side. Used to be a dark blonde but now getting very grey.

Some people seem to colour their hair forever and I just dont know why their hair isnt dry and frizzy.

Thanks for your advise
