I just want to comment on something I have noticed on this forum, it seems like because we're just writing to eachother, we don't hear eachother's voices, we sometimes misunderstand the meaning of some posts.
I have seen that a few times already, somebody says something as a joke, and it's not understood as a joke, and then there's a little fight for no reason.
I looove this forum so much and I hope it can keep its fun and peaceful atmosphere as much as possible.

I'm not sure what you are referring to.. Except for our regular troll visits everyone seems to get along just fine around here..

I was referring to one of the joke of a girl at the beginning of the thread, I don't think she meant to criticize you or anything.
Sometimes not just this time we misunderstand each other, that's what I meant
I understood her just fine Frenchie.. So let me put it this way.. On her SECOND post in this forum she finds my thread and posts a sarcastic comment like "Get a life". Now let's forget for a minute that this person turned out to be a known troll on this forum. (you apparently missed the thread where this becomes CLEAR) How is NOT rude for a NEWBIE to this forum to post that as her SECOND post??? Even if she just meant it as a joke (which BTW, she didn't) if you're new to the forum, you need to establish yourself here; get to know the members and let them get to know you BEFORE you can start joking in THAT manner with others..
Now perhaps you truly didn't see the post as being rude, and you and I will have to agree to disagree on that point. To each his own I guess.. However, where I come from that is just bad manners. I stand behind my response to it, and will respond in a similar manner if it happens in the future.

Cool Divavocals - I remember being excited just to become a Junior Member! I value your opinions and contributions to the board . That troll is one of the worst (read - dumbest) I have ever seen - gives himself up quick! It would be funny if this person weren't so petty and pathetic, with obviously odd mental issues! Rock on, girl!
I only have good intentions with what I said. I surely don't want to create problems, or offend anybody, rather the contrary.
Take care
Not offended at all.. I just wanted to fully explain why I felt the comment was truly rude, versus a misunderstanding. I understood your intention was to help.
Now since this is my anniversary party... ddid you bring me a present??? So far I've gotten diamonds, and a neat sports car.. Since this is an extensions forum I think some free hair in honor of my milestone is in order!!!

Thanks girl... It is sad.. I was reading yesterday's latest troll de jour and thought we needed to talk about something fun..
So in that spirit to quote the great Bette Midler "Okay, enough about me.. What do you think about me!!!"

1. v.,n. [From the Usenet group alt.folklore.urban] To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase “trolling for newbies” which in turn comes from mainstream “trolling”, a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. See also YHBT.
2. n. An individual who chronically trolls in sense 1; regularly posts specious arguments, flames or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion list, or in email for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter flame bait. Like the ugly creatures they are named after, they exhibit no redeeming characteristics, and as such, they are recognized as a lower form of life on the net, as in, “Oh, ignore him, he's just a troll.” Compare kook.
kook
[Usenet; originally and more formally, net.kook] Term used to describe a regular poster who continually posts messages with no apparent grounding in reality. Different from a troll, which implies a sort of sly wink on the part of a poster who knows better, kooks really believe what they write, to the extent that they believe anything.
The kook trademark is paranoia and grandiosity. Kooks will often build up elaborate imaginary support structures, fake corporations and the like, and continue to act as if those things are real even after their falsity has been documented in public.
While they may appear harmless, and are usually filtered out by the other regular participants in a newsgroup of mailing list, they can still cause problems because the necessity for these measures is not immediately apparent to newcomers; there are several instances on record, for example, of journalists writing stories with quotes from kooks who caught them unaware.

Please read the Golden Rules of Hair talk participation:
Rules # 3and #4 to be specific:
• Trolling Will Not Be Tolerated! Please don't add posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people or add posts that you know will cause arguments.
• Personal Attacks! Please do not criticize people. While it is appropriate to share your difference of opinion, please do so with kindness and courtesy. Please remember that the written word may appear harsher than those that are spoken. So please post in a manner "as if" you would wish to be talked to in person.
