Co-signing on Giovanni and Elucence! I would also recomend washing ur hair using the C&G method http://www.growafrohairlong.com and Denman D3 brush (Sally's $7.99) works like a dream detangling hair wet or dry HTH

I love Giovanni Direct leave-in...This is a creamy leave-in...but it does a great job of detangling.

You could try Aussie Knots Forgotten, and I think Kid's Organics has a detangler also.

Hey ya'll!!!!

Hair is healthy and thriving, but about four weeks ago, I had a major crisis and major breakage from reoccurring matting.Cry

I am only about 4 weeks post right now, but the matting starts to happen around week six or so.  I have stretched 12 weeks at a time, but I had to relax at only 9 weeks this last time, because the matting was going to cause further damage.

As a preventative measure, I am researching good detanglers, in anticipation of the weeks to come.   Any suggestions?
