So, I'm really cheap(hey, I'm a college kid). I swear by synthetic over human hair actually. (Sometimes I think I'm the only one.) Anyhow, I loooove love love Outre's Batik line. Its really soft and doesn't look plasticy. I think I heard a phrase somewhere on this site...."like a shredded trashbag." hahah I read that somewhere, and well, Batik line is not that. And at $10/bag its super affordable. Anyhow off that tangent. I got my hair lightened a bit and I wanted to do some really dark chocolatey brown chunks through-out my hair. Unfortantly the hair store only had Outre Batik in body wave. =( So I took my chance with FreeTresse because it was by Shake n Go hair and it was boasting it was a thermal fibre... or whatever the official term for it is. Since I use Milkyway when I do use human hair I thought, "Meh, might as well." Even though I was not too impressed with milkyway. It holds up welll for about a week... then tangles galor. But anyhow, I LOVE FreeTresse now. It doesn't take the heat of my curler but my flat iron doesnt melt it. I think I just need to get something with a temp control. It lets you know what the max temp is, I wish I could find the label but I think I chunked it otherwise I'd let all you know. Anyhow, it barely shed.. say 2 hairs in the two weeks of wear. Never went ratty. It was smooth and super manageable unlike most synths. They have a mind of their own at times, but Free Tresse really let me sculpt it. Not to mention it was teese friendly. I'd teese it a lot and at the end of the day the tangles came out with little effort. I was really impressed! So its nothing special, but heres a pic of the install.
