Has anyone ever heard of these. I just found a salon nearby who does them. It looks like a strand-by strand fusion thing. It says the hair is "guaranteed" for 6 months. Hmmm...but what about what it would do to MY hair after 6 months???

It looks like they take a section, tie a knot in the clients hair using a crochet hook.  Thread on a non adhesive shrinkie, add the strand, position both shrinkie and strand over the knot and apply heat.  The knot much be  the trick to holding it all together. Looks great!  Did you inquire about the cost?  They have a web site ...  www.bellargo.com

balmain has a 6 month guarentee on there double hair- it means the hair is guarenteed for 6 months not to leave it on your head for 6 months without touch ups. could this be the same with this company? no matter what the method dont leave any thing on your hair for 6 months! hopefully they mean the guarentee is on the hair itself- not being left it on someone for 6 months. hope this helps

right on the not leaving in- they say they need to move 'em every 2-3 months- the won't giv me any kind of cost without a consult but its a pretty fancy salon that doesn them, so i have a feeling it is expensive. It is hard to imagine that a non-adhesive shrinkies would stay on so well just becasue of a knot- but it sounds interesting. I may go for a consult. From their site it looks like there are only a few salons in the US that do them.

In the video they do it with a little crochet hook and when they undo it, it comes right out.

They use a pin to undo the knot.  No glue residue either??!!  I wonder what the hair is tipped with that doesn't melt?

I just can't imagne that withoue SOME glue and unlined "plastic tube" would slip off. I may have to go for a consult.
