Does short hair for women go out of style?

Hawg, right answer! Why would someone say that. My wife is a short hair fanatic. She has many freinds that love their hair short hair also.  I will agree that many styles cut to the season. But come spring time get a broom!

You know, I love short hair but I've noticed not many people have it anymore, except for older women. Back in 2000 when I first went short, it was THE thing to do.  Now, all I see is long, straightened and often highlighted hair.  I'm seeing a few more short haircuts recently, but nothing like the flurry of cuts going on in the early part of the decade. I'm still short but going for a bit of a grow-out. Chin to shoulder-lenght. I'm a huge fan of bobs.

It doesn't go out of style. Its like jeans for instance. But sometimes it can be more popular than other times. Or a certain branch of jeans can be popular Eg skinny jeans.

Starting to come back, but much too slowly in my opinion.

There are always a certain percentage of women, of all ages, that wear short hair. There are so many cute short hairstyles.

I guess it depends on one's definition of short - I see a ton of chin length and longer bobs on all ages of women, but when it comes to shorter layered cuts, I do mostly see that on either older or younger (college age) women in my area.

Here in the New York City area, you see lots of attractive short 'dos on women of all ages and ethnic groups.

I think it is cyclical like everything else.  It seems like Hollywood is going for long and flowing lately and there are a lot of extensions.  People will get sick of that and everyone will be going for the really short cuts again soon.  I think it is about time for the fashion pendulum to swing the other way.
