Hi I've been reading some posts on here and decided to join...I have relaxed hair about collar bone length and want to grow my hair out to bra strap length...what are some tips anybody can give to to grow long and healthy hair?
Welcome ! I am new to the forum also. I am in the process of growing my hair out. The problem I have is that my hair grows unevenly. The back would reach my butt...but I keep it at least chin level because I am constantly trying to get the front to catch up. Like you I have done a lot of my research by looking at different posts on the forum. I have learned so much from the WONDERFUL ladies in the forum. However, if you are new to this it can be overwhelming. I was getting so much info I didn't know what to do with it! Any"who" one day when I was doing my "research" I came across a lady that goes by "dontspeakdefeat". She has a journal on www.fotki.com . It is called "A NEWCOMERS GUIDE TO STARTING OUT". It has helped me so much. I hope it helps you also.
Hi growing your hair out can be a booga. You should shampoo and condition your hair every four days to replinish the moisture in your hair that was lost during your chemical processing. This will also stimulate your scalp and get the blood to flow with nourishes the hair follicles and increase growth. There is a product made by mizani with is called thermasmooth and its perfect for transitioning. With this product you can acheive straight hair without the chemicalsHope this helped!
