My ends are not split but they look weird. They are different lenghts and sort of pointy looking like they are damaged but they are not split. Will getting them cut help? Is it damage from flat ironing?

I'm not sure what you mean by pointy looking.  Do they have little bent places in them?  If so, its better to trim those off.  Hair gets damaged by many things, flat ironing can certainly do it, like any heat will.  Also if its long, regular brushing can bend hairs near the ends if you have tangles and you pull down through them instead of working your way up from the bottom.

If they're uneven and dry, you should probably just cut them off. It probably is from straightening, but that happens to everyone's hair over time. Sometimes you just have to trim the ends, which isn't a bad thing since they could easily become split ends.

yep, it's probably breakage from straightentening.  regular trims can take care of that Smile

Sounds like you need a trim. If you flat iron, you must trim at least every 8 weeks. Otherwise your ends will look dry and rough.

those are called fractured ends, fractured ends can be caused by flat ironing every day.Condition your hair frequently with conditioner that contains silk proteins(the molecules of many moisturizers are so big that the molecules can't penetrate the hair cuticle but silk proteins can penetrate the hair cuticle into the cortex into the medulla) and apply straightening lotion or lotion with thermal protection(heat protection),flat iron your hair with a low amount of heat.I don't know if you should cut the ends.
