Braid Question

I want braids in my hair asap. I've tried the out and loose look but I remember now why I love braids so much. I've recently heard about invisible braids, and lacing. Can anyone tell me where is a good site to look to see the difference between invisible, micro and lacing? I've been looking but no luck. Or if anyone could just tell me in a detailed message. I know people say braids are bad for your hair but I cannot stand the fact that no matter how I curl my hair it does not look right, how frizzy it gets no matter how tight my scarf is, and the way I just cannot seem to get it to look the way the stylist did for that first week after I had it cut. Also I had my hair cut not trimmed so it's around my chin now instead of at my shoulders. Should I cut my hair again before I braid it? Will that shorten the chair time? Can anyone recommend a good site where I can purchase human hair? I would like to see what my options are for hair.
