I Have been platinum blonde for many years suddenly I cannot get my roots right. The roots always pull gold, I use 40 developer with the lightest ash blonde. I tried fanci full white minx, toners, violet conditioners, what else can I do????????Angry

I was having the same problem. No matter what toner, dye, shampoo I tried my roots were still gold. I picked up Wella's 'white lady' toner and it actually worked! There's not a stitch of gold/yellow left on my roots. It's important to watch the toner, it works FAST. I left it on for 10 minutes and that was a touch too long, because my hair is a little violet but that fades. I only applied it to my roots because it takes EXTREMELY quick to porous ends and they'll turn muddy.
