Has anyone ever heard of putting extensions on the top of your head? This seems strange to me, I'm not an expert but how would you even try that so you wouldn't be able to see it? Can someone please fill me in!!!!
I had apply at the top with no problem and no one ever noticed. Make sure the hair color matches your natural color on the top, and leave some of your hair out to cover and blend in with the weft. As long as the weft (and seam) are in the same color as your natural hair it wont show.
You can also install in a sandwich method.
i always go up super high other wise i think people get a mushroom head. i have even done them in bangs/fringe. make sure you do very small bonds but note that these will not last as long- they soften up and slip in about 1.5 months- not only since the bonds are smaller, but the top of your head gets more blow dryer action and more product action. it is well worth redoing them as the benefits they give are great!!! you can even do tiny blonde ones oner brown hair and it will look like a hightlight(it you really do it super tiny) happy holidays
I'm glad I still have some hair lying around...I'm going to add till my head is full! Get that "bigger" look going! Yippie!
Thanks for pushing me over the hair edge

i have had my hair braided and they braided right at the top for 3 or 4 inches then let it loose.
this was not a natural looking extension but i did not mind i thought it was very xtina esque.
just now i wear my extensiosn pretty near the top but just a slice of hair over the top to disguise them.
i dont think anyone would smack a weft at the top of their head with no coverage but individual extensiosn at the top of the head ..i have seen quite a lot of

I actually saw this lady, she had sew-ins, I was trying to figure it out, but she had everything going down one direction, and then some sewn in for bangs going forward. She must have had some top piece, but you could tell she only had enough hair to make some braids, everything else that was showing was only fake hair, but it looked so amazing, if I hadn't known about hair extensions, I would have never known it was fake!!
So bottom line, I think there are top pieces you can use.
If not, I put mine up pretty high too. I like to have it not look mushroom-y.
