Darkening my blonde - Will this work..?

Hiya!
 
I bleached my hair blonde over a week ago (from Dark Brown) but it went very light (similar to white/cream).  I have now decided that I want to stay blonde.. But I want to make it a bit darker (but NOT yellower or anything like that.. just darker!).
 
Are there any products that you recommend to achieve this?
 
One thing I thought of, was buying something like a Light Brown and instead of leaving of for the 25 mins it says on the box to go all brown, just leave on for 5-10 mins.. Would this work - To drop some dark tones in?
 
Any info would be appreciated, or recommended products that I could use to achieve this look.

If your hair is the pale yellow or cream, then you will need to do a tint back to go darker...Stay away from ash, the color will certainly turn green or grey.  Have you tried using some toners, rather than going darker?  Hair that has been bleached and not toned tends to look raw and unfinished, maybe this is what you are not liking?

Yes it is cream mostly but it just stands out a bit too much when I go out.. I seem to be blonder than anyone else who is blonde!!
 
Can you recommend a toner that I can buy?  I still want to stay blonde, but just go a touch darker.
