Well, I can't tell you where to go, but I can offer advice on where not to go. I went to Nana's Braiding in Boston on Huntington/South Huntington. I really liked it the first couple days. It was a little sore, but no big deal. After 9, yes 9 days I had to take it down. The braids were slipping right out. I had huge gaps, and the wefts were 2 inches away from head in places. When I contacted Nana(owner) she told me I was not to wash my hair while I had a weave in! She said what I had was water damage...
I do not know what your ethnic background is, but I am caucasion and I have fine slippery white girl hair. When I first contacted the salon they assured me this type of install would suit me. Thru the entire process they never told me I could not wash my hair, how rediculous is that expectation? No person, be they black, white, purple, orange with green spots can go that long without washing thier hair.
Anyway, I would caution anyone away from that salon. Especially if communication and good business ethics are important to you. They were, however, priced very well.....
Beauty, you might wanna pop over to Black Hair Media and do a search. There are several posts where ladies have posted salon/stylist information for the areas of the east coast you mentioned.
