Honey is very good for hair.  I occasionally use it for deep conditioning too.

Can you tell me what is the benefit of cholesteral treatments?  I've noticed alot of products advertising that they contain cholesteral.  How does it help?  Are there any bad things about it?

I put honey in my normal rinse out conditioners. I second the motion of putting it in Olive Oil and using it as a moisturizing treament.

I recently put together a concoction of honey, protein milk, oil and water and used it as a leave in and moisturizer. I must say the results weren't bad at all! I also used this as a setting lotion for my roller sets. The first time it came out too sticky. Then I added more water and tried again and my curls came out great! I am still searching for a good leave-in but at least I know in desperate situations I can use honey and oil and be fine. Who woulda thoughtLOL

Honey works for some but doenst work for others. the best thing to do is try it out. EVOO stands for extra virgin olive oil- the stuff you cook with.

Honey is fantastic at keeping hair moist. If you want it to be more functional (less goey, sticky), there is cosmetic grade honey called "honeyquat" that you can purchase from soap- or lotionmakers. Just type it into the search engine.
I'm in!

LOL, there a lot of great things in our pantry.  Honey, eggs, EVOO, different types of milk, such as coconut milk....these are all natural alternatives....

Plus it is kinda fun experimenting.

Since my rollerset turned out a mess.. I'm going to deep condition tonite.  I think my hair needs it! Ick.  I'm using Motions CPR Treatment with Honey.  I'm thinking about heating the honey for some reason.  Hopefully I'll get a better result!

i have done this on numerous occassions with great results. Mixed with shampoo it will give your hair body and volume. Mixed with conditioner, it gives your hair moisture and softens it. I love it. Similar results can be achieved with black strap molasses and/or glycerine.

I love using honey for my hair.  I usually mix it in my conditioner and use it to co-wash my hair.  I also use it in my deep conditioners.  Since honey is so moisturizing, you can put it in any of your conditioners for that added softness.

I love using honey in my hot oil protein treatment.  What I do it I mix my conditioner, honey, evoo, and one egg together and heat it in the microwave for about 45 sec. I use it as a pre-poo and it makes my hair so soft that sometimes I don't even have to put conditioner on my hair after washing it.
I'm not gonna give up this time!!! My hair is gonna grow no matter what they say!!!
