My husband likes it better dark too...but my mom (who is also blonde) thinks it looks better blonde. My daughter told me I look younger blonde (which is something to consider because in two days I turn 30!) I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
I think you look great in both pics but if I had to choose a look for you I would say that I prefer the blond.... it does definately make you look younger and somehow softer. I guess with all the different opinions that you're getting on the boards....your choice hasn't been made any easier. I'm sure you'l look great what ever you choose.

Wow,it's amazing the different opinions everyone has!
Nursie, thank you...although my husband used to say blonde brought out my facial features more.Even though he likes brunettes better. (how fair is that? LOL)
Jojoswr,The looking younger thing IS something to consider, but thanks for thinking I look good this way too.
DulcieB~ Oh,you have no idea how hard a choice it is! There of course are things I like about both colors.
Brunette~ It's my natural color...what I was born with. No maintiance needed. I get taken more seriously. I kinda like being a bit mysterious and aloof. I have to use ALOT LESS products to keep my hair in good shape. It needs to be cut much less often,so it grows longer, faster. I enjoy not having the same color as my mom and everyone else in my family (who are ALL fake blondes)
Blonde~ Seems more fun. It is bright and cheerful, and makes me appear (somewhat) younger. Makes me feel more noticeable. (which isnt always a good thing,LOL)
I really appreciate the imput from everyone! I do wish it made the choice easier, but it doesnt! I know I should do what makes me happy, but what makes me happy changes,LOL.

You look amazing in both pictures, you really can wear both hair colors. But,I personally prefer the blonde on you. Or, you could always keep your natural color and have lots of blonde highlights, that way you get the best of both!!

I am surprised no one has commented on the length. I think the length you have now brings out more in you than the color. With the bangs shorter and the neck revealed more, I think it brings out your facial features more. Keep the cut. I think you look younger with the blonde hair because of the cut, not because of the color. If you are wanting to look younger with that cut, grow the bangs out a little more and add some layers/texture to your hair.
As far as color goes, I am not sure I would tell you to go that blonde with the length you have. With your skin, I would go lighter than what you have now or maybe give you some multicolored highlights. Maybe some carmel highlights and banana colored highlights. That would blend well with your cut and skin tone.
If you are wanting to do this yourself and can only do all over color, go with a light brown/medium blonde (level 6-7) and I would personally go with a golden base or maybe even a warm base. If you use Wella (which is what I use mostly), go with the 7G or 725 (gold base) or 7W or 7WR (warm base).

As a mom who just turned 40, I'm all about doing anything to make me look younger...shouldn't feel that way, but I do.
I agree that the blonde makes you look younger, but at 30, you're still a baby! I guess, compared to 70, I still am too! I go from dark brown, light brown to dark blonde all the time. I think blonde highlights would be great for you if you wanted to keep your hair on the darker side, but that's just my opinion.
As for the style of your haircut. The bangs look great, but personally I'd save them for the time when you have frown lines to hide, which I do! I like the longer length on you, but you need to compare and figure out which color/style you like best.
I think you're beautiful either way and can easily wear either color or any style and look great.

After much deliberation and heartache,I have decided to stay darker. I thumbed over ALL pictures that I have of both colors. The blonde hair tends to make my face look more pinkish without a ton of make-up or fake tans. Plus,my hair is just so healthy now,I'm curious to know how it will look when it grows out.
