Just an FYI. I really wouldn't take a flat iron to them.  I will test out with a blowdryer tonight but that should be fine.  I would think an iron might melt them.
 
It seems the hot glue is shedding a lot.  I'll be trying the keratin tonight but that should solve the problem.

Actually someone else suggested keratin sticks.
