My hair is never completely smooth. I always have hair sticking up on the top of my head.
I use products specifically for frizzy hair. But whatever I seem to do I can never get rid of it.
But now I'm a bit confused. I'm not sure if my hair is damaged, dry, has split ends or just frizzy.
I have been straightening my hair quite a lot recently and blow drying so that leads me to think I've damaged my hair. But from as far as I can remember my hair has always been this weird wiry frizziness.
I'm swearing off the blowdryer and straightening only when absolutely necessary.
It may be an issue of humidity causing the shorter new hairs to curl up. The drier your hair is, the worse it will be. I agree you should avoid blowdrying and flat ironing. That'll only make it worse. (Do you color also?) You should try to moisturize your hair as much as possible.
Straightning will definitely do it. What kind of blow dryer do you use? I highly reccomend getting an IONIC one, they really cut back on frizz if you're a frequent blow dryer.
Also, deep conditioning would help since hairbraider is right it could be humidity,or since it's winter, the cold dry air.
