I currently have burgundy/reddish hair that has Special Effects veggie dye(semi permanent) hair color in it. This was done over bleached hair. The color is starting to fade and I'm frankly sick of having to color my hair so often because the veggie dyes seem to fade pretty easily out of my straight, fine hair.
I am looking to do a strawberry blonde or natural type red eventually. My hair is very short(about 4 inches), plus I am getting a hair cut tonight.
I'm wondering what the "best" approach to this problem is. Should I wait it out and use a darker semi permanent dye(with low peroxide) to sort of "blend" it in as my roots start to show. I'm naturally light brown/dk. blonde.
Any tips/tricks/suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to do something only to do have to redo it or color over it with something very dark.
Angie
PS Color removers will not work on veggie dyes(so I've been told).
