Thank you both for your responses! I think that I will wait a week or two and then I will dye it with the next most permanent and see if I like the color even though it may wash out right away. If I do like the color I will dye it permanent.

wash out black dyes are just as hard to get out,you can get really dark brown dyes that look black,iv made the mistake of dying my hair black and even tho it looks really sexy,id neva do it again
i dyed myn permantent
but do i really wana have black hair when im old and wrinkley??????i dont think so
so while im still young im going back to blonde(naturall colour)so been a ginger for a few weeks isnt too bad at the moment
iv neva bothered with wash-out dyes as they always fade within a week, and you can neva go swimming without it leaking(does 4 me anyway)
if i was you id dye it a very dark permanent brown that luks black
but eitherway
good luck xxxxxxxxxxxx

Loving care is mostly meant for people with grey hair I think....and it is very semi-permante.
If you want better results try Natural instincts which last through 28 shampoos. However,be careful when choosing black hair dye. They are hard to get out if you change your mind.Even though natural instincts isnt permanate, it may still take longer for it to wash out if it is darker then your current color. And you should wait until the loving care washes out or you could have breakage (but since your hair hasnt ever been colored it is probably healthy enough to not wait, but why take the chance?)
Today I dyed my hair with Loving Care #83 (black) but it did not work. I have naturally medium brown hair and I haven't colored my hair before and I did not put any products in it. I followed the instructions exactly but it did not color my hair. What happened?
I still want to dye my hair so I think I will try a different brand next. Do you think that I should wait until after 6-8 shampoos (when the Loving Care was supposed to wash out) until I dye my hair again?
