So...my hair is really curly, frizzy, thick, damaged...as I've infinitely posted...So I decided to invest in a GOOD iron...I researched and discovered...doon doon doon...The Sedu.

So...The Sedu was a LOT better than my old iron...It left my hair really flat...so I was like le yay!!  And so I kept it...

A few weeks ago...my friend was telling me she wanted a new iron...I was like "Get the Sedu...It's awesome"  She had a Chi...So whatever...we traded irons for a week.  That week I had highlighted AND dyed my hair...and usually after I do that my hair is a little frizzier than usual at the tips...I expected it to be even frizzier since "I was using the Chi...an iron whose superiorness did not touch the Sedu."...and it left it looking even freakin' better than the effing Sedu!! I GOT SO MAD! I coulda gotten the Chi for 60 dollars, and I payed 120 for that effing Sedu!...And I just found out that squeezing the Chi made it hotter...I didn't even squeeze on it cause I'm so used to not being able to squeeze the Sedu because it's so hot...My friend even said her iron was better...URG! I'm just so mad.

The ONLY thing the Sedu had over the Chi was that the Sedu pulled my hair a lot less.

In my experience as a stylist I've used all kinds of flat irons and my favorite is the Chi Flat Iron. It's worth the $100 for the damn thing it's that damn good.

I'm sorry, I don't agree. At least for me the Sedu works much better than the CHI and it doesn't short out after 9 months like the CHI. Niether does dry my hair out after a few months of using it like the Chi.Your problem might be the fact that you can't apply the same preasure with the Sedu as you can with the CHI, because it really does get really hot. The Sedu is also very light weight, so that makes it harder to apply preasure. How long have you had the Sedu? If it has been less than a month you can exchange it for the Solia. As much as I love my Sedu, I have to admit once I tried my friends Solia I was in love. The outside doesn't get hot, and it has more weight to it, so it applies more preasure, and you don't even have to squeeze the iron.  I've already got the hang of using my Sedu, and my hair looks great and it is in great condition. But when it breaks down, I'm getting a Solia.

Try using a drop of Redken smooth down heat glide with your Sedu. Divide hair into sections and it will make all the difference in the world.

I've heard great things about the Maxi-glide (which even has a water well for steam), and my stylist even uses it on my hair.
Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

Everyone has their preferences. I personally think the Sedu and Solia are the best ones but if the Chi works for you than thats ok to. Not everyone uses them the same so people can get different results. Use what works best for you.

I like Sedu better. I previously owned Solano, CHI, Futura.

I just received my Sedu a couple of days ago and I LOVE it!  I have nearly tailbone length very thick, wavy hair and it made it pin straight in half the time of my previous flat iron - the Solano Sapphire.  I too was torn between whether I should buy the Chi or Sedu, but the 1.5 inch Sedu has done wonders for my hair.  It's well worth the money.
