QuoteReplyTopic: Endura-Bond my new LG!!!! Posted: March 28 2007 at 9:41pm
O.K Guys and Girls I tried something new and amazing!!!!!!!!! I ordered Super Tape and Endura-Bond to make my new application. I amso happy I jump in this new experiment of mine!
I was conceren about the LG getting in my scalp, so I went looking for an alternative solution to re-enforse my tape application.
First of all this Super Tape is suppose to give you 30-40 days. But I because i am a maniac when it comes to hair I always feel safe applying LG to make sure I wont have an accident of a weft falling.
I came across the Endura-Bond with the following description: Endura-Bond and Endura-Bond Remover Need
an adhesive that actually improves its grip in water? Endura-Bond is
specially formulated to keep unwanted crystallization to an absolute
minimum. Designed for use in the Medical Industry, Endura-bond is
gentle on skin. Used sparingly, our hard bond should provide an
uncompromising 30-day wear!
So I ordered it and today I applied, The wefts feel so tight and secure ladies!!!! And NO MESS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if it gets in my scalp I am not worry because is made for Touppes so is gentle on the skin and is safe!!!!!
I will keep you updated ladies and see how long it last!!!!!!!

Thanks Aphrodiva...the link didn't work but I typed in the True Tape address...it is a mecca of hair adhesive. Keep us posted on how it holds. I noticed olive oil is used for removal on skin (hair?) and the remover for prosthesis. Also, thanks for turning me on to wiiv...really like it in #4.
I am soooooo happy to help. I am glad you liked the Wiiv, is my favorite of all!!!!! And I have tried soooo many, from cheap to very extreme expensive, Viiv tops them all so far.
Yes, that website have so many adhesive and LOW price! I love the Super Tape, is very sticky, great adhesive!
Now that I appplied Endura-Bond directly on my hair to secure the wefts just in case. I am wondering how the removal will go, I purchased he remover, but found out acetone will remove it very good also.
I also reserached the BlackHair Media forum and found good and bad reviews about Endura-Bond, but only for lace front wigs, not extensions. But I got to say, my scalp, where glue got in, is not suffering, the wefts feel so secure. Plus I don't smell like glue..(LG have a strong smell also)
I could keep typing since I am so excited about this, but I'll let you go now. Don't want to drive you all crazy. Like I am .

Cat Goddess.. I am still usong LG to secure the Weft to the Super Tape. I use Endura-Bond to secure/Attach the weft to my hair, just a little tiny bit. (it goes a long way) The super tape size I ordered is 1/2" x 36 YD. If you are going to buy it, buy it from the site I posted, they are "the main man", since I came accross some sites selling it for $99.00... I paid $19.99 for a bigger roll.
JanetBolton,
I can't tell you if its better that the Proflex, because I always secure my attachements wit a dab of LG to make it last more than a month and it works great!!!! Now, this supper tape wont turn GOEY when gets wet.
Aphrodiva, please keep us posted on how the removal of Endurabond goes. And are u planning to re-use the hair? I know lot of the ladies on BHM use EB (as we call it on BHM) for lacfront wigs and they say it's kinda hard to get off the lace; tho the hold is fabulous! I have some for that use, but never thought about using for wefts. I bet it's not even that hard to get it off a weft either. The lace is so flimsy. I have tried other hardbond adhesives for weft before and it was hard to get off wefts. But if EB is not so hard removing, i will gladly take your tip and use that. So let us know or PM me directly. THANK YOU for sharing this tip.
Kofee Brown, you are so welcome...remenre thet the EB is applied on the Tape no directly on the weft (the tape is glued to the weft) so ther is no contact of EP directly on the weft itself..so when I remove the tape I will also be removing what is left of the EB. So no damage if any is mae to the weft..so awsome!!!!
O.K girls I will continue reporting soon! Stay tune!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mean to sound dumb, but you do tape then lg then hair then EB and the EB side goes on your own hair? Thanks for helping me understand, I'm a little slow today. :)
mrswozzy..I do exactly the same on the ProFlex/Protac tutorial..the only thing is that I put LG in the tape to secure the weft on the tape...so I get the tape, put some LG on it, then adhere the Wefts on the tape, then "cure it" with a flat iron, that created a very strong "attachment" of the weft to the tape....(I hope I did not confuse anyone)
Then once the tape is no longer hot, I peel the backing side of the tape, apply a very tiny ammonut on EB and then glue, then adhere the weft to the hair.
The main reason why I usethe tape is to create Double wefts. I Love to double the hair so the lower ends look full and more coverage of my real hair". Plus if there is any sheding of hair it will keep it to a minimun.
