dishwash and baking soda - sounds terrible but gets rid of everything
 
if theres a bit of product build up leave for 3 mins or so

Good old fashioned Prell! Roughs up the cuticle by virtue of the ph level and decimates all scalp oils.

I also use the Neutrogena one.
Or Avalon clarifying shampoo.

Pureology's "Purifying Shampoo" in their "Safeguard Your Color" line works well, and doesn't seem to strip color like some of the harsher products do.
Here's to the end of my BAD HAIR LIFE!

i like the neutrogena one

i've most recently been using Kenra clarifying, its supposed to be clarifying as well as not fade color (its a bit more expensive)

suave's clarifying is cheap and it works

Prell is an old standby...it can be kind of harsh

i hope some of those products are available, i just noticed you are in the UK!

I use Neutrogena and it works great! its usually a little hidden in their section, its in a squareish shaped bottle, its clear, and its in a box.  Its the only one I've tried but it worked so well I haven't wanted to tr another!

Ive found that alot of my clients tend to come to the fitting with slightly oily hair, Ive told them to use a clarifying shampoo but despite that most of them just use there normal shampoo which most of the time is moisturising which doesnt really help.

I was thinking about giving them a shampoo at the consultation so they could use that.  can anyone reommend a good shampoo that removes product build up, the only clarifying shapoo I have come across is by pantene but I heard that they contain silicone.
