Very good point. If we're telling them to read previous threads and they post on an old topic, they're doing exactly what we said. They need to be directed to the forum rules and guidelines that states not to dig up ancient threads. They may not realize that this is annoying to other members.

Actually! Actually! I never said "look at previous posts." I said "readprevious posts." I don't tell them to respond back to them. As a matter of fact, if you're asking a question, why in the world are you going to old topics answering questions. When I first joined I barely ever asked questions. Look at my post history I think I've created a total of maybe 4-5 threads. And two of those were updates of my hair. I disagree with this topic. When I read previous posts I'm thinking myself (because I like to use my brain on a daily basis) this post is from 2005, maybe I shouldn't answer to this one. This is another one of those situations where you have to "read previous posts," to find out the history of Davo. You have to do research before you state your argument.

I'm like Davo. When I first joined I read everthing including the forum rules. I didn't post until maybe a week or 2 afterwards. I soaked up as much knowledge as possible.
