QuoteReplyTopic: Question about reverse perm/chem straight Posted: May 24 2007 at 11:56pm
Hi,
I'm a guy with coarse, wavy/curly hair that's kind of puffy, and impossible to manage without a lot of hair gel. I had my hair straightened once with a flat iron and it looked like it suited me perfectly. I really liked it, it was easy to manage, I could wake up, take a shower, spend a second arranging my hair and I'm on my way. Not the case right now.
My question: I don't like complications in my life, and I don't want to live with my hair like this.
My hairstylist recommended "reverse perming".. will this do the trick? Does it work well? Are the results comparable to flat ironing?
I have no expertise in this area! Just a guy who glops on gel to keep his hair looking under somewhat control.
Thanks!

Yes it does work, but only get a professtional to do it, I have heard of doing it with reverse perming, but there is also chemical straightning, this is were the product is applyed to the hair, and the hair is combed for a while, until the hair is straight. It can last for anything up to 6 months maybe even longer. Again only get this done by a professtional.

ps, I applied Schwarzkopf chemical straighning product on a friends natural curly hair, it went poker straight and lasted a year.
